Vindo 50 bluewater cruising ketch for sale.

Indigo is a 35' Vindo 50 ketch with a world-voyaging pedigree. She has proved herself to be safe and comfortable on the world's biggest oceans. Built in 1974 in Sweden, she was sailed down the Baltic, through the North Sea and the Mediterranean, through the Suez Canal and across the Indian and Pacific Oceans. She voyaged in Alaska for several years, and then was trucked across the United States to Maine. Her current owner has used her for extensive cruising in Maine and New Brunswick, Canada while researching A Cruising Guide to the Maine Coast, as well as a trip down the Atlantic coast to the Bahamas and back. Vindos have been called "The Hinckleys of Sweden." They are featured in The World’s Best Sailboats, by Ferenc Mate, where a sistership to Indigo can be seen on seen on pages 212 and 213.

Hull
Rugged, solid fiberglass hull with full keel and attached rudder. Beautiful solid mahogany cabin trunks, teak decks over balsa cored fiberglass. Truly one of the most admired boats in any harbor, even in Maine!

Layout
Main cabin with v-berth, full settee which makes up into a double berth, port bench opens into a great sea-berth with lee cloths, nav table and galley. Excellent headroom, beautiful joinery, stunning laminated deck beams. Aft cabin with two generous quarter berths, sitting headroom. Maple floors throughout. New upholstery slated for 2004.
