CAMBRIDGE NARROWS defines the head of navigation on Washademoak Lake for boats that need more vertical clearance than the 45 feet provided by the bridge that spans the lake there. Coxs Cove to the east is broad and shallow and of limited use. The Sailing Directions report good anchorage on the west bank, south of the bridge and the concrete wharf, though there is little protection from southerlies running down the lake. The town of Cambridge Narrows has a pay phone, a general store, and an inn with licensed dining. There is a liquor store at a gas station a half mile to the east of the bridge.

Boats with shorter masts and less draft can explore a couple more miles of Washademoak Lake past the bridge or poke their way up through Narrow Piece, which just about says it all.
