A cable ferry crosses Belleisle Bay between Long Point and the shore to the east of Earle Cove. Beyond the ferry, there are several miles of broad sailing before the bay becomes shoal at its head. The hamlet of Hatfield Point lies at the head of navigation at the end of a short and shallow buoyed channel. There are no specific anchorages in this end of the bay, only spectacular sailing.
