KENNEBECASIS BAY narrows dramatically between Gondola and Reeds Point. Mathews Cove lies just beyond Gondola Point, extending almost half a mile southward. Most of it is too shallow to use, and a cable area occupies much of the rest. However, it is possible to get some shelter at the mouth of the cove, hard against the western shore.
