THIS beautiful little cove is tucked into the eastern shore of Bartlett Island, just south of Galley Point. A small gravel beach graces its head, and it is crowned with views of the hills on Mount Desert.

Approaches. From either the south or north, run along the eastern shore of Bartlett Island toward Galley Point, which is mostly wooded with some clearings at the end. Enter in the middle of the cove. See also Bartlett Narrows.

Anchorages, Moorings. There are private moorings in the cove close to shore. Anchor in the middle of the cove in 18 to 20 feet at low, in a mud bottom. There is protection here from all directions except the east and northeast.
