BUCKLE HARBOR, at the northwest corner of Swans Island, is a geographically convenient anchorage, an easy place to stop on your way east or west. It is also lovely and unspoiled, but not undiscovered. You will rarely have Buckle to yourself on a summer evening. Not far away is the spectacular skyline of Mount Desert, and a procession of boats passes the harbor entrance on their way through York Narrows.
