I replaced my old guide with the new guide and as I reported before, it really helps make our cruise a joy. The corrections and observations listed are only there to help, not to criticize.
1. Northeast Harbor- Clifton's no longer is a pump out station.Contact the harbormaster who will direct you to the north side of the commercial dock
2. Head harbor Campobello Island- Neuman's Marina is a work in progress, but the owners were extremely helpful in helping a first time border crosser. Canpass was very easy to use and they did not seem fazed by a Saturday entry. Be sure to have a Canadian courtesy flag, since it was extremely difficult to find one. Luckily the Hardware store in Northeast had one left.
3. St Andrew's- no longer has an Internet cafe. Great Sunday brunch at the Algonquin, but very pricey.
4. Eastport and Bar Harbor, not Cutler are the only Immigration and customs ports downeast.
5. Eastport- The secret to Rosie's great hot dogs is the mustard. Locally produced and Rosie even went to the store and bought us several bottles. Whale watching is made easier, if you monitor 78
