Western shore of Vinalhaven anchorage advice Fri, 27 April 2007 10:47 Go to previous message
All: Hoping I could benefit from your collective experience and advice on safe, easy to enter anchorages on the Western side of Vinalhaven. Every year going East we pass Vinalhaven en route to/thru the F.I. Thoroughfare and never explore the western shores. We are familiar with Perry Creek, and some of the Eastern anchorages like Winter hbr/Seal bay just not the Western side. The crusing guide (thank you Curtis!) is really great and recommends Long cove I beleive. Just wanted to get some input from those who have explored that part of the island. We are a 36ft sloop drafting 5 feet.
Thanks in advance for your response!
