oh yes, it is a beautiful place!! im not too sure if there are any moorings, but i know you can anchor there. Another nice place in frenchmans bay is Hancock Point, which im sure you know about if you live near sorrento, i have a house on the point. The harbor there is fairly quiet and they have two guest moorings, suitable for boats up to 45' i would guess, we have put our 36' sabre on it before when there were no other moorings. For MDI, Bass harbor is a bit of a working harbor, but it is nice, and that is where morris yachts are built so there are a lot of nice morris' to look at.
