NateHanson Posts: 2 Location: Ellsworth Registered: September 2006	Mooring advice around Ellsworth Fri, 29 September 2006 11:55 We've recently moved to Ellsworth, along the Union River where it opens into the bay. I'll bring our small cruising boat up here from Boston in the spring, and I'm looking for a place to moor it permanently. I'd love to hear some local advice and opinions. So far I'm considering the Lamoine State Park, and the Carrying Place Beach mooring field in Surry. Lamoine has a bit of a waiting list, and I'm not sure how fast I'll move through it. Surry is closer to us, and I wouldn't mind exploring the west side of MDI for a while anyways. The problem is I don't know where to go for information on dropping a mooring at that beach. Does anyone have advice or experience? Recommendations of a good mooring service for dropping my new tackle? Other ideas of where to put a mooring? Thanks, Nate [Report message to a moderator]
