Enticed by the two previous messages, we stopped at Seguin last week as we were returning from our summer cruise. The weather was perfect for this--flat sea, little wind, and excellent visibility. We picked up a guest mooring, landed on the little beach, and walked up to the lighthouse. The view is spectacular. We could easily see Pemaquid and Monhegan to the east, and some hills beyond (perhaps Camden Hills?) The caretaker told us that just the day before near sunset he was able to see Mt Washington.

One downside of stopping at Seguin on such a nice day is that it can get quite crowded. By the time we were leaving the island, all the moorings were taken (4 guest moorings and two Coast Guard moorings) and a couple of them had several boats rafted up.
