I seem to remember Seaway boats being built in East Boothbay for a number of years. Harry Farmer was the owner of the business. During the early 1980's his business burned to the ground and only a few of the molds were saved. He eventually moved his business to Winthrop, Maine. I think his business went bottom up in the late 1980's and the molds were sold too 3 different boat builders. I know for a fact one of them went to a builder in the Georgetown/Five Island area, the 23 foot model I believe, where it is still being made. There offered in kit form or finished to the owners specs.
