Ice. Most marinas and many markets have freezers with cubed or block ice. Way Down East you may have to go to a fish plant or a lobstermens co-op to get chipped ice. In smaller harbors you may be able to get refills or exchange cylinders at shops that cater to trailers and mobile homes. Often hardware stores are also refill stations. CNG can be found in a few places, but in Maine, it is still rare.
Repairs.Hull and engine repairs can be made in boatyards all along the coast, most of them described in this book. Additional help can be found inland. Farther east, as the number of marinas and boatyards dwindles, you will become more dependent on your own resources.
